Leitura, interpretação e explicação de duas obras filosóficas clássicas do período moderno. Produção e apresentação de comentários sobre as obras escolhidas.
3 OBJETIVOS
Introduzir o estudante a problemas contemporâneos de Filosofia Moderna, oferecendo leituras aprofundadas dos três livros que compõem o Tratado da Natureza Humana, de David Hume (Treatise of Human Nature, 1739), e textos correlatos.
4 CONTEÚDO
Aprofundamento teórico-conceitual de problemas da Filosofia Moderna a partir da leitura do Tratado da Natureza Humana, de David Hume; fundacionismo, racionalismo, empirismo, naturalismo; teorias do eu; não-cognitivismo; ceticismo.

Leituras semanais; avaliações periódicas; exposição e apresentações em sala de aula.

CRITÉRIOS DE AVALIAÇÃO
Duas ou três notas obtidas através de provas escritas (com questões de identificação e questões dissertativas) e/ou trabalhos de pesquisa bibliográfica (papers de 5 a 8 páginas; tópico e bibliografia a serem previamente discutidos com o professor). Auto-avaliação em sala de aula. Avaliação de trabalho em grupo. Critérios de avaliação: redação (ortografia, sintaxe, estilo), objetividade, clareza e coerência argumentativa.
